Our pilot project Millennium City Athurugiriya was initiated in 1999. The Millennium City concept is to build an entire township complete with wide access roads, street lights, recreational activities, landscaped parks, green belts and shopping areas – all the facilities of an urbanized planned township. This pioneering project in mega township development was a first for the private sector in Sri Lanka.

Millennium City was developed by Millennium Housing Developers Ltd which is a part of Nation Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. The project was undertaken with government and BOI assistance and is a BOI approved and sponsored project.

The demand for and interest in houses at Millennium City in Athurugiriya and Ja-Ela was so high that within a short space of 10 years,2500 houses have been sold.
